I am starting glamour photography and I wanted to know if this was a good lens to buy as I am just starting?

I currently have a Canon 40D with a Canon 621361 Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 EF USM Autofocus Lens, I am looking to buy a second lens for glamour photography(mostly outdoor and some indoor) and I wanted to know if this was a good lens Canon Ef 75-300 4/5.6 Iii W/box (http://www.adorama.com/US%20%20%20%20329428.html), seems to be a good price, any suggestions or ideas? thanks
