What happens to month old "jungle juice"?

Ok, so for a party about a month ago, we made a cooler full of jungle juice. For those of you not familiar with the concoction, it's orted juices mixed with alcohol. We used everclear, about 4 parts juice to 1 part alcohol. The remainder of the mixture has been sitting in this unrefrigerated cooler, for almost a month now. When I opened it, well, the closest smell that it resembles is paint thinner. Whats going in there?
