Other knitting projects with sock yarn?

I think that scarf pattern would work up really pretty with the yarn if there is enough. Look on the label and see what the yardage is. The pattern you picked says 123 yds. I would cast on and knit maybe an inch and measure my width to see if my gauge is good. (yeah I know everyone says to make a swatch but I hardly every do.) You want the width to be as close to the 4.5 inches as possible.
