Louisville Slugger composite bats?

Anyone else had trouble with these? My son and another kid on his team had the same bat. Both bats cracked. My husband sent ours back, got an "upgrade" replacement and the first time my son used it the new one cracked. Are we just having bad luck or anyone else had trouble with these?
