Making slingshot questions?

My father made my first slingshot out of a tree branch. He used rubber bands and the tongue of an old shoe to make the pouch. I used rocks and I won't tell you is was accurate...probably because I never really practiced enough. Now, surgical tubing is excellent. Take a length in your hands and see how far it will stretch. Basic length of the tubing, at rest, would be around six to ten inches, depending on how long your arms are. You can attach one end of a piece of tubing to the frame and the other end can be attached to a piece of leather...about he size of a shoe tongue. Yes you could use a continuous piece of tubing and slide over it (before fully attaching to the frame) a piece of leather as a pouch. Have fun.

I Need Help With This Elevator Question!?

I am planning a building that would basically be a copy of the CN Tower in Toronto but it would be about twice the height. It would have the world's fastest elevator, traveling at a speed of 73 feet per second or 50 mph. The elevator speed would beat today's record of the Taipei 101's 37.5 mph (and soon the Burj Dubai's 40 mph). To get to 50 mph, it would take 15 seconds-meaning that the elevator would accelerate 3.33 mph every second for 15 seconds until it reaches 50 mph. Could anyone tell me the distance it would take for the elevator to reach 50 mph if accelerating at a constant 3.33 mph every second? And also I would like to know how long it would take for the entire elevator ride to 3,000 feet-that includes the time to reach 0-50 mph, the constant speed of 50 mph, and then the decelleration time from 50 to 0 mph. I'm not talking about how long it would take if going 50 mph to reach 3,000 feet because I already know that. I am talking about how long it would take for the elevator-
